DGOK renews its mining machinery park

The Donskoy Mining and Processing Complex is upgrading its tunneling equipment, and some of the machinery is unique in terms of its technical characteristics. The new equipment will make it possible to increase mechanization and accelerate the preparation of mining operations at the mines.

In recent months, DGOK has received a Robbins roadheader, a new Boomer drilling rig and a small self-propelled Brokk machine with a hydraulic hammer and loading bucket.
Modification of the Swedish roadheader "Robbins" is more modern than its predecessor: a powerful engine and completely different possibilities in terms of drilling depth. Its drilling rig allows for safe, mechanized and quick vertical drilling.

This type of drilling is necessary for ventilation, ore discharges, running uprisings. Without them, preparatory work and mining are impossible. In some cases, vertical drillings are done manually where required by mining and geological conditions.

- In 2020, lots of vertical drillings are planned for a mine named after the 10th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence alone," says Nurlan Sarinzhipov, Head of the Mining and Processing Department at TNK Kazchrome JSC. - the new Robbins will have a positive impact on the preparation of mining operations for 2021.
The new Boomer drilling rig and exploration machine will help miners at DGOK's second mine, Molodezhnaya. With this technology, drilling operations have become faster.
