A Traditional “Wish Tree” Held at Kazchrome

“Each time you take part in the ‘Wish Tree,’ you are reminded of why such traditions truly matter. It is not about gifts—it is about attention, care, and sincere human compassion. Behind every letter there is a child’s dream, and it is extremely important that so many people within our team are willing to become real magicians for these children,” noted Sergey Prokopyev, General Director of Kazchrome.

This year, 32 children—orphans and children left without parental care—wrote letters to Ded Moroz at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant. Their wishes were heartfelt and varied: sleds, favorite toys, a boxing bag, new clothing. For plant employees, each letter became a personal story and an opportunity to perform a good deed.

The wishes of 25 children were fulfilled by the management of the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant. Among those who wrote letters to the metallurgists were residents of the “Bolashaq Mura” Center, children with disabilities, children from the village of Kuraily, representatives of societies of the blind and the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as children from the gardening communities of Krivoye Ozero, VOKhR, and Makhambetovka.

Employees of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant also joined the charitable initiative. The enterprise’s management fulfilled 20 children’s wishes, carefully selecting gifts in accordance with each letter. Among them were a pink dollhouse, a doll stroller almost like a real one, tablets and mobile phones, a gaming monitor, skates, and laptops. The most unusual gift was a leg exercise machine requested by a boy from the village of Don. In addition, each participant added something from the heart to the gifts—sweets, a drawing tablet, or a soft toy.

Employees of Kazchrome’s corporate management office also supported the tradition and once again delighted the children of the Ayala Orphanage. As part of the initiative, they fulfilled the wishes of 38 children, presenting gifts ranging from sports balls to bicycles.
