A modern cultural and leisure center has opened in Khromtau

The new cultural and leisure center is located in a developing district of Khromtau and is equipped with a modern auditorium featuring a digital cinema system, exhibition spaces, and classrooms. The complex was built as part of a memorandum on the implementation of socially significant projects between Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) and the Akimat of Aktobe Region. TNC Kazchrome JSC allocated more than 1.6 billion tenge for its construction, while the total project cost amounted to 1.8 billion tenge. The infrastructure of the new cultural center was evaluated by the Akim of Aktobe Region, Askhat Shakharov, and the General Director of Eurasian Group LLP, Serik Shakhazhanov.

– The Head of State always emphasizes that the strength of a nation lies not only in its economic well-being but also in its spiritual wealth, - noted the head of the region, Askhat Shakharov. - Culture is the soul of the people, its memory, and its future. By opening this center, we are creating a space where everyone can connect with our rich cultural heritage and contribute to its development. I am confident that the cultural and leisure center will become a favorite place for residents, a true focal point for all who appreciate art, creativity, and aspire to spiritual growth.

Several years ago, during one of the meetings with ERG management, employees of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant expressed their wish for a modern cinema in Khromtau, as previously, residents had to travel to the regional center, Aktobe, to watch movies. The Group’s management made a decision, and given the city’s growth, it opted for a large-scale project.

– We always strive to ensure that Eurasian employees have not only comfortable working conditions but also a good quality of life, – noted Serik Shakhazhanov. – Therefore, we analyzed this issue and concluded that building a single cinema was not entirely feasible. The city of miners and metallurgists is growing and developing, so the decision was made to finance not only the construction of a cinema but an entire cultural and leisure center. We hope that all the social projects we implement, based on surveys of our employees and Khromtau residents, will improve the lives of people in our hometowns.
