Kazchrome Celebrated the Miner's Day

In Khromtau, more than 200 employees of the Donskoy GOK received various awards on their professional holiday. This year, the Miners’ Day served not only as an occasion to celebrate the professionals’ achievements but also as a platform to discuss the future of mining. The focus was on digitalization, advanced technologies, and development of the new Bolashak mine—a project that will define a new phase in the development of the entire mining industry in Kazakhstan. We would like to remind you that the Bolashak mine is one of the largest investment projects of ERG. The Company is investing more than one trillion tenge in its construction and in ramp-up to design capacity.

The official portion of the festive evening continued with a ceremony to honor employees of the Donskoy GOK. More than 200 specialists received government, industry, and corporate awards for their professionalism, long-term service, and contributions to the company’s development.

I would like to extend special thanks to the industry’s veterans,” said Nurkhan Tleumuratov, Akim of Khromtau District, at the awards ceremony.

The festivities continued with a spectacular concert that drew several thousand residents to Khromtau. In a traditional way, the miners themselves took the stage alongside professional performers as part of the festival program. Employees of the Donskoy GOK participated in the concert performances and performed alongside the artists, turning the celebration into a major event created by the people themselves.
