Aksu Ferroalloys Plant started to supply heating to the residents houses

The Company’s Boiler House is completely ready for the current heating season. And this is evidenced by the Certificate of readiness for the autumn and winter period.

And again the Plant shall supply the heating not only to its infrastructure but also to the whole Aksu as in the previous half of the century. However, the Aksu residents were supposed to meet this winter with a new town Boiler House. The Plant Power Engineers are still taking care of the heating supply while financing of the facility under construction has been suspended.

- To supply the heating to the town is the responsibility that we have assumed many years ago – said Sergey Prokopyev, Aksu Ferroalloys Plant Director. – Taking into account the climate conditions of our region we consider heating of the houses, polyclinics and schools to be essential, assuring health and welfare. The Company starts winter preparations in advance, ensuring optimum scheduling and appropriately distributing the efforts of the Maintenance and Repair Services within the warm period of the year. Having considered the rapid growth of the town and population, we see that the loads on the energy source increase. Therefore, all Aksu residents and we look forward to the new town Boiler House and continue to fulfill our obligations.

Maintenance and repair operations at the District Heating Station were conducted within the whole summer. The boilers were repaired, car-dumping plants, Boiler House heating line valves and pumps were inspected, measuring devices and equipment automatic control systems were inspected within this period.
