Victory Parade staged in Aktobe for the front-line metallurgist

Nikolay Pashchenko, veteran of the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant, watched the Victory Parade arranged for him from the balcony of his new apartment. Kazchrome allocated funds for purchase of this housing. The long-awaited housewarming was postponed by quarantine, but the front-line soldier met the 75th anniversary of the Victory in a new setting. Akim of Aktobe region Ondasyn Urazalin and president of Kazchrome Arman Yessenzhulov arrived to congratulate Nikolay Antonovich Pashchenko.

Nikolay Pashchenko worked as smelter in the second shop of the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant for 17 years. The 93-year-old front-line soldier is the only participant in the war for the entire 19-thousandth collective of Kazchrome. The company loves and appreciates Nikolay Antonovich. Last year, shareholders of ERG awarded him with a cash certificate of 7 million tenge for the purchase of a two-room apartment on the first floor. Before that, he lived with his son's family on the fifth floor and it was hard for him to walk upstairs. Because of that, the veteran practically stayed indoors. Housewarming was postponed by quarantine, but on the 75th anniversary of the Victory, nevertheless, the family of the front-line soldier laid the festive table in the new apartment.

Nikolay Antonovich, like all war veterans living in the region, in honor of the Victory Day received one million tenge from the government. In addition, he was presented with a congratulation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. From the metallurgists of Kazchrome, the front-line soldier was presented with a TV and 500 thousand tenge.

- The 75th anniversary of the Victory is an important holiday for all of us, and despite the current restrictions, we could not but congratulate Nikolay Antonovich, of course, in compliance with all safety requirements,” said Arman Yessenzhulov, president of Kazchrome. - He is now the only front-line soldier for our entire huge collective and we strongly support him. On this day, we decided to organize the Victory Parade for him personally.

For Nikolay Pashchenko, the military orchestra sang the well-known song “Victory Day” and the soldiers of military unit 6655 went with measured steps around the yard, rendering the war veteran a salute.

Kazchrome continuously takes care of the older generation. During the quarantine period, the trade union committee and the Youth Council, in the course of the #BizBirgemіz event, delivered about a hundred grocery baskets to homefront workers, lonely pensioners of the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant. Company veterans receive help: for treatment, health improvement in medical and health centers of the country, improvement of living conditions. With the support of Kazchrome the Council of Plant Veterans is operating. Every retired plant worker has a membership in this organization.
