Generation Kazchrome presented over 100 solutions for the production of the future

This year, the event brought together more than 150 young professionals from various ERG enterprises, who presented over 100 projects in eight sections, ranging from ferroalloy production and mining to Digital & IT and ecology.

The 2025 conference was held under the auspices of the Year of Safety, which highlighted the company special attention to the development of occupational safety culture. For the first time, Sergey Prokopyev, General Director of Kazchrome JSC, established a special award for the most interesting project in the field of industrial safety.

Anastasia Klink and Danil Klink (Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC) became the winners for their solution to introduce additional protective equipment for employees working in hot shops. The winners received smartphones of the latest model.

- “I was impressed by unconventional approach of these young people”, said Sergey Prokopyev, head of Kazchrome JSC. “They chose a problem faced by an external company, which demonstrates maturity of thought and the ability to look beyond the boundaries of their own department. This kind of perspective makes the industry stronger. The project definitely deserves attention. Such employees as the conference participants really drive innovation in the company”.

The first day of the conference was entirely devoted to the protection of projects that passed through strict expert evaluation by enterprise managers and leading industry specialists.

One of the participants, Valentina Dikusare, a process engineer at the Donskoy GOK, highlighted the growth in the number of IT projects, reflecting current technological trends:

- “This is the reality that our scientists cannot ignore. This year, STC organization was particularly impressive—the number of participants and projects was especially high, with 19 projects in our section (enrichment) alone”.

On the second day, participants attended a series of training sessions and discussions aimed at professional competencies development.

The ERG Corporate University and in-house trainers conducted practical sessions for participants. These included sessions on creative and critical thinking, where teams created a symbol of digitalization and automation, as well as on operational efficiency. A tour to Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant was a pleasant bonus.

The Conference proved once again that Generation Kazchrome is not just an annual event, but a large-scale platform where future technologies are born, digital management systems are improved, and environmentally friendly approaches to production are formed.
